Driver Xray Privacy Policy

Driver Xray is operated by CDL Xray. In this policy "we" and "us" mean CDL Xray.

One email address is one account across Driver Xray and CDL Xray. This policy covers the Driver X-Ray app and the driver portal. Reviews, the directory and company accounts on cdl-xray.com are covered by the CDL Xray Privacy Policy.

Account: email address, password, first, middle and last name, date of birth, CDL number and issuing state; optionally your phone number and a username.

We store your password only in protected form. Nobody, including us, can read it back.

MVR orders: the name, date of birth, CDL number and issuing state of the driver whose record is ordered.

Support requests: whatever you send us at support@CDL-Xray.com.

Server logs: IP address, device or browser type, and the time and address of each request. We use them to keep the service running and to stop abuse.

The app and the driver portal show no advertising and contain no third-party analytics or tracking tools.

In the browser, the driver portal remembers that you are signed in and the progress of an MVR order, so that reloading the page does not lose your order.

To fill in the sign-up form faster, you can scan your license with the camera or pick a photo of it. The image is processed on your phone and is never uploaded to us or to anyone else; the temporary copy is deleted as soon as it has been read.

Only the details you see and confirm in the form are sent to us. Scanning is optional: you can always type the details instead.

A PIN you set works only on the device where you set it. We store it only in protected form.

Face ID and fingerprint unlock are handled entirely by your phone's operating system. We never receive or store biometric data.

Your sign-in details are kept in the phone's secure storage.

When you register, your account is linked to your driver profile in the CDL Xray driver directory. If you do not have one yet, it is created. Reviews that brokers, carriers and other users left about you before you registered stay on that profile.

The driver list on cdl-xray.com is public and shows your name, rating and number of reviews. The full profile, with your date of birth, the reviews about you and your trust score, is visible only to signed-in CDL Xray users, who can also find it by your name or CDL number and leave new reviews.

The email, phone number and CDL number you register with are not shown on the profile, and neither is your MVR. The trust score is calculated from reviews only; your MVR does not affect it.

If a review about you is wrong or contains personal information that should not be there, you can dispute it or write to us.

Payment: card payments are processed by Stripe. You enter your card details in Stripe's form; we never see or store the full card number and receive only the payment status and amount. Stripe's privacy policy applies to the payment.

Ordering: after payment we pass the driver's name, date of birth, CDL number and issuing state to our MVR provider, which obtains the record from the state motor vehicle agency. By placing an order you confirm that the record is your own or that you are authorized to obtain it.

Analysis: we store the report file on our servers and use a third-party AI service to find violations, accidents, suspensions and medical certificate dates and to prepare the summary and recommendation you see. The report is shared with that service only to produce this analysis.

Who sees it: your reports are available in your account. Only our service, and our support team when your request needs it, can access them. We do not publish reports or show them to other users.

Downloads: when you download a report in the app, the PDF is saved to your phone's Downloads folder.

To stop automated sign-ups and abuse, we use Cloudflare Turnstile on sign-in, registration and MVR orders, in the driver portal and in the app. Turnstile may check technical signals from your browser or device, such as IP address and browser characteristics. We receive only the result of the check.

Camera: only to scan your license. Optional.

Photos: only to pick a photo of your license; the app gets only the photo you choose. Optional.

Face ID or fingerprint: only to unlock the app instead of typing your PIN. Optional.

Storage (Android 9 and older only): to save the reports you download.

You can turn off any of these in your phone's settings. Only the related feature stops working; the rest of the app keeps working.

We share personal information only with the providers we need to run Driver Xray: hosting, database and file storage providers; Stripe for payments; our MVR provider for ordering records; an AI service provider for report analysis; and Cloudflare for bot protection.

Signed-in CDL Xray users see your driver profile as described in section 6.

We may disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our users and the service from fraud.

We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for advertising.

Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords and PINs are stored in protected form. Report files are kept in storage that only our service can access.

We keep your account, your driver profile and your reports while your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete this data except where the law requires us to keep it or where it is needed to prevent fraud. Copies in backups are overwritten over time.

You can ask us for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.

To delete your account and personal data, follow the steps on the Data Deletion page: write to support@CDL-Xray.com from the email address on your account. Deleting the account removes your sign-in details, PIN devices, MVR orders and reports.

Driver Xray is for adult CDL holders. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

We may update this policy. The date at the top changes when we do.
